As the answer for the question, YES, it should be. However, loyalty wont work if that person doesn't have a value.
ReplyDeleteLoyalty is not just a word, it should be in action. Maybe the employee should be loyal to the company, but even he/she become that one, can the company accept it for a long time.
In my view, no one is loyal, because all are like variables, not stones.
Even company tries to earn the loyalty from employees, it can be damaged because of a little scenario.
My opinion is only for few industries in the world.
Companies can try to earn it. But not with the purpose to earn their loyalty; to reward for their works. If the company can do that, the employee will work with the trust and it will automatically turn into the loyalty sometimes.
My opinion is employee loyalty is lengthy process and it need to earn through step by step. From an over night employees are not becoming loyal to the organization and they are becoming loyal through Job satisfaction, rewards, appreciations, Value additions, Trustworthiness, Job security and so on. Loyalty creates job retention with employees and it creates life tome employment but Today business environment , both employers and employees think more about themselves. Employers are under more pressure from shareholders to perform well and as a result cannot always offer job security. Despite this, organizations should continue to focus on employee loyalty and attempt to increase it, because it has a positive effect on attendance, the risk of absence and organizational citizenship behavior.
Deletein the current era millennials are not much loyal to their work as well as organizations and companies are having big challenges to earn loyal employees to their organizations.
Good article. But I don't agree with your point. Trust and Loyalty both are important aspects of a strong relationship. Loyalty is devotion, support, allegiance or faithfulness to someone or a group and trust is the reliance on strength, ability and integrity towards a person or a group. Loyalty can be a result of a long term of trust or may not have a valid cause. For an example a person can be loyal to his country as he was born in that country. So trust is not involved.Trust is the important aspect of any relationship.A relationship can't go without trust. It is the basic foundation of employee and employers relationship.Trust could be a stepping stone to loyalty. Loyalty too is an important fact to retain its employees. So these two aspects could be interrelated sometimes. So my opinion is loyalty itself alone can't be succeed trust is also need.
