Will HR remain important
in future?
There is a lot of debate on
that question. This is the question about HR’s contribution to the business.
They discuss that, HR is often unproductive, ineffectual, and costly. However,
Dave Ulrich explained these questions “Yes-abolish the thing!”
HR addressed fundamental
issues such as, focus on learning, quality, teamwork, and reengineering.
New trends in HR
ü Remote
work practice – Due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation, this has already begun.
ü Work
from home expands to work from anywhere – Increasing technology and the
infrastructure will be able to work from anywhere. (Ex. from different parts of
the world)
ü Facetime
disappears – HR should adjust to create new policies, as remote working will increase,
and no body-language can be used / seen.
ü Data
and Artificial Intelligence – Will ‘AI’ replace personnel?
ü Gig
economy – more short-term jobs than long-term jobs. As an example, trends in
the world urge for act freelancers or contract employees.
ü People

orientated. Future based questions such as “What and When will happen”.

experience – Employee experience may improve, and HR has to adjust upon that.
ü Cybersecurity
– To protect data confidentiality and employee privacy, more cyber rules will
have to be implemented.
How could HR support in
building organizational future?
As a result of what
organizations are facing in the current pandemic situation, HR should be more
talented and dynamic in style. HR Leaders can contribute by focusing on
identity, agility, and scalability.
1. Identity:
HR can explain the objective of business, importance, and culture. Can discuss
under below points,
·
HR should have a clear understanding of the reasons
for having a unique, positive social impact.
·
Identify the talents and deeply focus about
talent.
·
HR should coordinate to get a better employee
experience.
·
Strengthen leadership and develop facilities for
change.
2.
Agility: This results in both organizational
performance and employee satisfaction.
·
Develop and implement new organizational models.
·
Steps to be taken to create a flexible and
magnetic workforce.
·
Decision making done quickly.
·
Approach to improve management performance.
3.
Scalability: This is explaining how HR can guide
value addition.
·
Develop learning methods from traditional to
nontraditional methods.
·
To be well equipped to gain value addition to
the enterprises but not only the transactional work.
·

initiatives.
Conclusion
Many HR personnel are still
based on the manual processes and should be aligned with the new technology. HR
should learn and develop their skills according to the future requirements. HR
will not become obsolete, and HR need to get involved in key business decisions
in the organization. I believe HR should be future-oriented and talented and
acquire necessary IT skills to support their vital roles in the business.

Goods, services, and labor talent are now more freely flowing across the globe than they have ever been.
